Life is fun isn't it? Updates of the family:

Bud: 6 years old. Starting to slow down a bit, he doesn't trip over his own feet as much. Enjoys school (which I hope he keeps). Starting to branch out on what he will eat, thankfully!

Lil Miss: 3 years old. Active as usual. Very opinionated already, I'm kind of afraid of teenage years. She's a little mother to her little brother.

Parasite: 7 weeks old. I know such a nice name for him, I'm such a nice mommy aren't I? He's growing well, already in 3-6 month size clothes. Very quiet, likes to watch everything that is going on.

Me: I'm getting all but 8 of my teeth removed by the end of the month. Then after 4-6 weeks of healing (and NO teeth) I go in and get impressions done for dentures. Then I have another 4-6 weeks of NO teeth before I will finally have teeth! That don't give me pain. I am very excited.

DH: Foreman at work. With the weather finally warming up, he's getting the long hours that bring overtime pay. Which is nice, but at the same time takes a bit getting use to again.

Life is grand!

Oh the joys of blogging. You make big plans to write everyday, build a big readership, become one of the elite "Mommy Bloggers". I haven't done very well have I? I'm not going to make excuses, mainly because there is no one to read them, but also because there is no need.

So, what are my goals for blogging? Well, that's the hard part. I don't know if I want to become a mommy blogger to just:
  • get free stuff (which isn't a really good reason, I'll admit).
  • become one of the "Popular Kids"
  • record my kids growing up
  • have contact with the outside world.
So here's to starting, well restarting my blog again. A Pay it Forward.

I won the opportunity to Pay it Forward on Scotty's Place blog a few weeks ago. Here is all I know about Pay it Forward:
  • First 3 people who comment on this post will receive a handmade gift from me sometime in the next 12 months.
  • If you are one of the three PIF participants I choose, you will have to host the same Pay It Forward on your blog and send a gift to the three first people who comment on yours too.
So be one of the three first bloggers to comment here if you’d like to participate and let's pay it forward!

In some ways I do ready war stories, although, they are mostly ~ if not all ~ fictional.
I'm a big fan of vampires, werewolves and the like. So while those stories usually don't have a full out "war" most of the time, there are war "times".

You have the Pendragon series which is the typical (and untypical) war against good and evil.

The most recent book about war that I've read is the Council Wars by John Ringo. I haven't finished the series yet but I'm enthralled by it.

Day 2 - Something you love about yourself.

Written by Spider Lady on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 4:07 PM

Narcissism Pictures, Images and Photos

You'd think this one would be easy. But it's much easier to find things you hate about yourself than it is to find things you love about yourself. Many people go through a period of time of self-doubt, low self-esteem the works. I couldn't tell you WHEN I got out of that phase, but I have.

I wish I could put a cute little story here, but alas, I have none. So I'll do a simple little list:

  • My cooking.
  • My crochet.
  • My knack at being able to find anything online.
  • My love of books.
  • Being able to listen.
  • My laugh.
  • My hair.
  • My understanding.
  • My happiness.
  • My sanity.
  • My insanity.
  • My tattoos.
  • My scars (even the stretchmarks.)

Now, that feels like bragging, don't it?

Day 1 - What I hate about myself.

Written by Spider Lady on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 7:46 AM

I'll preface this by stating, I'm joining Sarah with 30 days of Truth. I'll post the list of days at the end.

Bad teeth Pictures, Images and Photos

Simple truth, I hate my teeth.

I lost the genetic lottery where it comes to my teeth. They've always been crooked, heck I had/have two rows of teeth. Lovely huh?
After 2 kids, my teeth said "Screw this" and I snapped 3 of my front teeth in 3 weeks. That was a joyful occasion.
All but my bottom 6 front teeth are screwed. They are at gum line, with exposed roots and everything. People are always wondering how I'm able to eat, I'm so use to aches and pains in my mouth that unless my gums swell, whether over the teeth or not. That's the only time my teeth hurt.

I hate my teeth.
I hate being unmotivated to do what needs to be done.
I hate my dry skin.
I hate my short fingers.
I hate my chipmunk cheeks.

I don't know if I have much to post about, but I do know that if I wish to blog, I need to do it everyday. So here goes.

Plans for this weekend is to go to Bismarck this Saturday with my BFF so I can get things I need for the wedding. And to just have fun away from the kiddos. Hubster will have our two kids, and I know how much fun they will have!

I wish the sun would come out. It's be basically clouding all week. I miss the sun, I miss being able to go outside. We got the kids bikes this weekend and were outside all weekend with them riding their bikes. Bud is a natural ~ has no problem riding. Tinkerbell is just starting to get use to the whole pedal thing, but she'll get it. Both have training wheels of course, but I wonder if Bud will need them or not come fall.

Any who know me, knows I've always hated tea, and drank soda no stop. Well I love this tea! I don't like the "non-diet" type, but alas ~ none of the stores around us (the whole 3 of them) have it. So I've been having to drink soda ~ mainly Mt. Dew. But Mt. Dew really doesn't fulfill my thirst, I WANT MY TEA! LOL, hopefully Wally World will have my tea this weekend.

Can I do it?

Halloween '09

Think it's been long enough? Prolly.

I never think I'm writing well enough, nor blog enough or even have enough "interesting" things to blog about. Well here's to another try at it right?

Updates:

  • Bud starts kindergarten!!! in 124 days (he made me count). He's much farther behind than the rest of his class, but we have time to get him up to speed.
  • Tinkerbell is growing like a weed and I have a feeling she's going to take Bud going to school harder than I.
  • The hubster and I are finally getting married! July 30th is the date, and I'm making basically every-thing! But I can't wait.
  • Kacey had puppies Feb. 6th. We were able to sell all but 1. The pup we weren't able to sell is deaf (mostly anyways) and since I knew I didn't have the time to train a deaf dog, we surrendered him to OREO. They work with a woman in town that trains deaf dogs so we know he'll get a good home.
Um, I believe those are the biggest highlights. Our life is so exciting, but has the Hubster and I say, at least then we know nothing wrong is happening!

Grateful

Written by Spider Lady on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at 11:25 AM

I am grateful for a furnace that works ~ This week the temperature has been just above freezing. If it had not been for our lovely neighbor's father last fall ~ who knows when we would have gotten that fixed.

I am grateful for Hubby's job ~ It can be highly unfair (it is who you know, and not what you know) but he has been transfer to a different work crew and that has made a big difference on how work goes for him. He no longer comes home completely frustrated and depressed.

I am grateful for good friends ~ We spent last night over at our friend's apartment laughing, cooking, playing games, mainly just having a good time.

I am grateful for my family's health ~ Knock on wood we are all healthy and whole and are going to stay that way.

WHAT HAPPENED??????

Life and BOS's

Written by Spider Lady on at 6:50 AM

I actually got done most of what I wanted to get done yesterday. I didn't really get started until afternoon because of the dogs, both Koda (male) and Kacey (female) wanted in and out ~ and me to be outside with them ~ very cold yesterday!

So today I need to get the rest of dishes done, it's tacos for dinner tonight and I need a pan! Going to try and get clothes put away ~ at least they are clean, which is a big thing. Before we had a working washing machine ~ we'd go 2 or 3 weeks between Hubby taking clothes to the laundry mat and getting them washed. Why didn't I do it? 2 main reasons: Kids and laundry mats are bad combos. Second is the closes laundry mat is 26 miles away and I don't drive. Not yet anyways, I am learning but it's a slow process with Hubby really only home on the weekends.

I think I'm also going to do the bathroom ~ cleaning wise. The tub needs a good scrubbing ~ with my hair blue, when I wash my hair I bleed blue water a bit. Not as bad as when I first got my hair dyed but enough. Add to that Hubby working in concrete, you can imagine what my tub can look like.

Book of Shadows Pictures, Images and Photos
Credit: BlueEyedLady34

I also have a couple of links for online Books of Shadows that I'm going to link here one day and also I want to actually start my hard copy BOS. I've never been one for "ritual" magic but I've had the urge for quite a few months to start my BOS. I don't think I'll ever be real happy with any BOS I make ~ I'm too much of a perfectionist when it comes to things like that, but I need to try.

It's a cold one again today, and the weather is calling for rain with a possibility of SNOW!! tomorrow and thursday. SNOW!!! in September. I don't care if it's happened before here in North Dakota, I don't want it to happen while I'm here. That's too early and too cold!!!!

Goals for the Day

Written by Spider Lady on Monday, September 28, 2009 at 6:24 AM

320x222 life Pictures, Images and Photos

Today, I'm trying to be the good homemaker I should be. Meaning, doing the chores needed. I hate housework ~ severely! It's 7:30am right now, and I have 1 load of laundry in the dryer and another in the washer. My goal is to get another 2 -3 loads completed ~ meaning washed and dry. Setting the goal of having them put away as well is just setting myself up for failure. I also need to get dishes done. With how the drain is, getting dishes done isn't a big hardship because I literally can't do them all at once ~ something I can space out throughout the day I can do.

Then I also have my normal "mommy" stuff ~ keeping the kids alive. Tinkerbell is "mostly" potty trained ~ haven't had an accident since Thursday but she still likes someone to come with her at times. Buddy likes to be praised and talked to.

Then we have the dogs. It use to be dog, but a friend of ours moved into a 1 bedroom apartment. Him, his wife and their 2 kids. No room for a LARGE golden retriever. We have a golden retriever, Kacey, but she is 3 months younger than our friends dog, Koda. Koda was also starved and mistreated by our friends wife's family. So right now, it's a process to get him healthy and comfortable. I did let them know, I might not be able to handle 2 dogs along with my kids. We'll see how today goes, without Hubby home to help. Today is the pass or fail test.

Then with all that, I have to decided dinner, it's either mini pizzas or white chicken chili. All depends on what dishes I get washed!

My life is so exciting!!!
