In some ways I do ready war stories, although, they are mostly ~ if not all ~ fictional.
I'm a big fan of vampires, werewolves and the like. So while those stories usually don't have a full out "war" most of the time, there are war "times".

You have the Pendragon series which is the typical (and untypical) war against good and evil.

The most recent book about war that I've read is the Council Wars by John Ringo. I haven't finished the series yet but I'm enthralled by it.

Day 2 - Something you love about yourself.

Written by Spider Lady on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 4:07 PM

Narcissism Pictures, Images and Photos

You'd think this one would be easy. But it's much easier to find things you hate about yourself than it is to find things you love about yourself. Many people go through a period of time of self-doubt, low self-esteem the works. I couldn't tell you WHEN I got out of that phase, but I have.

I wish I could put a cute little story here, but alas, I have none. So I'll do a simple little list:

  • My cooking.
  • My crochet.
  • My knack at being able to find anything online.
  • My love of books.
  • Being able to listen.
  • My laugh.
  • My hair.
  • My understanding.
  • My happiness.
  • My sanity.
  • My insanity.
  • My tattoos.
  • My scars (even the stretchmarks.)

Now, that feels like bragging, don't it?

Day 1 - What I hate about myself.

I'll preface this by stating, I'm joining Sarah with 30 days of Truth. I'll post the list of days at the end.

Bad teeth Pictures, Images and Photos

Simple truth, I hate my teeth.

I lost the genetic lottery where it comes to my teeth. They've always been crooked, heck I had/have two rows of teeth. Lovely huh?
After 2 kids, my teeth said "Screw this" and I snapped 3 of my front teeth in 3 weeks. That was a joyful occasion.
All but my bottom 6 front teeth are screwed. They are at gum line, with exposed roots and everything. People are always wondering how I'm able to eat, I'm so use to aches and pains in my mouth that unless my gums swell, whether over the teeth or not. That's the only time my teeth hurt.

I hate my teeth.
I hate being unmotivated to do what needs to be done.
I hate my dry skin.
I hate my short fingers.
I hate my chipmunk cheeks.

Ramblings

I don't know if I have much to post about, but I do know that if I wish to blog, I need to do it everyday. So here goes.

Plans for this weekend is to go to Bismarck this Saturday with my BFF so I can get things I need for the wedding. And to just have fun away from the kiddos. Hubster will have our two kids, and I know how much fun they will have!

I wish the sun would come out. It's be basically clouding all week. I miss the sun, I miss being able to go outside. We got the kids bikes this weekend and were outside all weekend with them riding their bikes. Bud is a natural ~ has no problem riding. Tinkerbell is just starting to get use to the whole pedal thing, but she'll get it. Both have training wheels of course, but I wonder if Bud will need them or not come fall.

Any who know me, knows I've always hated tea, and drank soda no stop. Well I love this tea! I don't like the "non-diet" type, but alas ~ none of the stores around us (the whole 3 of them) have it. So I've been having to drink soda ~ mainly Mt. Dew. But Mt. Dew really doesn't fulfill my thirst, I WANT MY TEA! LOL, hopefully Wally World will have my tea this weekend.

Can I do it?

Halloween '09

Think it's been long enough? Prolly.

I never think I'm writing well enough, nor blog enough or even have enough "interesting" things to blog about. Well here's to another try at it right?

Updates:

  • Bud starts kindergarten!!! in 124 days (he made me count). He's much farther behind than the rest of his class, but we have time to get him up to speed.
  • Tinkerbell is growing like a weed and I have a feeling she's going to take Bud going to school harder than I.
  • The hubster and I are finally getting married! July 30th is the date, and I'm making basically every-thing! But I can't wait.
  • Kacey had puppies Feb. 6th. We were able to sell all but 1. The pup we weren't able to sell is deaf (mostly anyways) and since I knew I didn't have the time to train a deaf dog, we surrendered him to OREO. They work with a woman in town that trains deaf dogs so we know he'll get a good home.
Um, I believe those are the biggest highlights. Our life is so exciting, but has the Hubster and I say, at least then we know nothing wrong is happening!
